In Hollywood, Steven Spielberg has become not only a celebrated producer and screenwriter, but quite possibly one of the most well appreciated directors of all time. His works include E.T, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan and of course, Jurassic Park.

Back in 1985 Spielberg purchased this home which is peacefully located in the Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles.

His dream was to fashion a paradise like location for his family, and accomplished just that, with the purchase of this $6.5 million Mediterranean style home.

After purchasing the property, the manor was completely revamped from top to bottom. During renovation, the estates square footage was doubled from 10,000 to 20,000. The 5 bedroom, 6-bathroom mansion spreads across 3.5 acres and includes a unique Hobbit style room, a luxurious pool that is surrounded by verandas, and of course the awe inspiring views of Spielberg’s vineyards that reach out towards the Pacific Ocean.

The living room is lavish, cozy and exceptionally inviting to Spielberg’s guests. One topic of conversation is sure to be the spectacular views from the oversized picture windows which span most of the room.

The living room completely opens into the quaint formal dining area. The high ceilings make way for extensive windows that allow for views of Spielberg’s private nirvana.

The dark exposed wooden ceiling beams and the recessed lighting completely opens up this absolutely gorgeous bedroom. The wooden floors flow seamlessly into an elevated and uniquely tiled area for the master bed to set. No matter where you are in this room, you are sure to be able to enjoy the views, as one entire wall is windows and French doors.

This beautiful wood fireplace has an intricate wood design and a vibrant pop of color from the carefully hand painted tiled inlay.

The antiqued metal gate opens up into this breathtaking courtyard filled with exotic plants and flowers. The family and its guests can enjoy a serene stroll around the gardens on the intricately laid brick walkway.
